IGDShare 實體場終於回來啦!本月分享會在 6/21(日)13:30 開始放入場,將由我們整理 Jonathan Blow 過去一則關於 framerate independence 議題的分享,也就是如何盡量避免程式的 gameplay loop 被畫格率所影響。當然,這邊在講的並不是 update() 要帶 delta time 這件事而已──偶爾出現的不一致行為、邏輯更新和畫面更新間的誤差、input polling 議題等。最近意外找到這則影片,看完之後得到不少心得,歡迎大家一起來討論!
另外,延續上個月在 Discord 上開始做的 PC 獨立遊戲市場調查工具使用與功課,我們在自由交流時間也會再進行相關討論。

On June 21st (Sun) 13:30, we will be discussing a talk by Jonathan Blow on framerate independence a few years back, i.e. how to minimize the influence of framerate on your gameplay loop & logic. Of course, it's not as easy as the update() should be called with delta time -- minor discrepancies in frame-to-frame behavior, the mismatch between logic update & frame update, and input polling issues.
